Church electrical installations inspected as required. Church equipment maintained and checked. Hirers responsible for safety of their own electrical equipment. No unauthorised alterations to electrical systems.

Manual Handling

How they may be harmed

Tables and chairs stored safely. Trolleys available where appropriate. Users advised to lift safely and seek assistance with heavy items.

Damage to property

Existing controls

Hirers responsible for any damage caused during hire. Security deposit may be required where appropriate.

Security of building

Existing controls

Keys only issued to authorised hirers where appropriate. Building secured after use. Hirers responsible for locking doors and windows if last to leave.

Safeguarding

Existing controls

Hirers responsible for safeguarding within their own organisation. Church safeguarding policy available on request. Activities involving children by organisations or open to public should have appropriate safeguarding arrangements and liability insurance in place.

First aid

Existing controls

First aid kit available on site. Hirers responsible for providing adequate first aid cover for their event where appropriate. Emergency contact numbers displayed.

Alcohol Consumption

Existing controls

No alcohol sale permitted, bring your own allowed at discretion of pastor.

Capacity exceeded

Existing controls

When hiring event hirers advised of maximum capacity. Hirers responsible for not exceeding capacity.

Behaviour of attendees

Existing controls

Hirers responsible for conduct of attendees. Noise kept to reasonable levels. Illegal activities prohibited. Church reserves the right to terminate hire if necessary.
